Application:
Narrow cross-section joined belt with "engineered slip" which is particularly effective when installed on drives that can experience frequent stalls caused by obstructions.

The "Engineered to Slip" belt:
Built to withstand the punishments when drives jam up and the belts need to slip, such as in sawmill applications. The special sidewall of Torque Team® Laminated V-Belts acts as a control switch, allowing belts to slip as needed until the obstruction is cleared.

 

Banded Belts tame the problem drives:

  • Individual belts are joined together by tough backing fabric so all ribs pull together.
  • Each rib wedges in the sheave groove for maximum traction and efficiency. Conditions such as pulsation, vibration, shock loading and misalignment are common problems for drives causing belt whip and belt turnover. Banded belts help solve the problems.

Torque Team Plus

Application:
This narrow cross-section joined belt with aramid cords is for the industry's toughest drives that have high horsepower and require higher tension and increased resistance to shock loads.

 

The "Performer":
Torque Team Plus® belts keep the tough drives going. The "Plus" refers to the belt's special aramid fiber reinforcement, which, pound for pound, is five times stronger than steel.

  • Our exclusive rubber compound provides superior performance, long service life and is the best in heat, oil, static and abrasion resistance.
  • The envelope is a unique rubber compound that offers greater flexibility around smaller sheaves, which translates to increased horsepower and drive efficiency.

Poly-V®

Poly-V

Application:
Multi-V cross section for small sheave compact designs requiring limited vibration. Ideal for high-speed ratio drives with short center distances.

 

The best of flat belts and V-Belts:
The Poly-V® belt is a thin, multi-V belt with longitudinal V-shaped ribs that mate perfectly with the corresponding sheave grooves.

  • One continuous tension member distributes drive load evenly across the full width of the sheave.
  • Drive is completely supported with uninterrupted tension eliminating belt turnover problems.
  • Thin cross-section profile allows for use with smaller pulleys than standard V-Belts.
  • Drive width can be reduced because there is increased surface engagement allowing for increased horsepower per inch of belt width compared to standard V-Belts.
