**Drive conditions and service variables in combination with time in operation can result in loss of static conductivity. It is recommended that a conductivity check be added to drive preventative maintenance programs where belt static conductivity is a requirement.

SilentSync®'s patented Helical Offset Tooth (H.O.T.) design merges belt and sprocket into the quietest, smoothest and one of the most compact synchronous drive packages available. The result is a continuous rolling tooth engagement that reduces vibration and improves the overall efficiency of your drive system.

  • Aramid® Tensile Member – pound for pound, stronger & more flexible than steel to handle today’s drive design. Resists fatigue, elongation and shock loads, even in high-torque conditions, so there’s no need to retension SilentSync® belts once properly installed.
  • HiBrex® Rubber Compound – resists tooth deformity while increasing tooth rigidity to ensure precise synchronization over prolonged use. Also resists the effects of oils, coolants, heat and ozone for maximum service life.
  • Plioguard® Facing – proprietary treatment strengthens the tooth, increasing load carrying capacity. Reduces tooth engagement friction, allowing for prolonged belt life and minimal wear while allowing the belts to operate in a wide variety of environments.

The SilentSync Color Spectrum System makes it the easiest synchronous drive system to sell, purchase and install. The part numbering system for Eagle NRG includes a letter that corresponds to the color branding of the belt. ("Y" for yellow, "W" for white, etc.) Each color defines a particular tooth and belt width. Match the colors, and you've matched the correct belt and sprocket.

CONSTRUCTION

Hibrex® rubber compound:
This cross-linked elastomer is formulated to resist tooth deformity and increase tooth rigidity, increasing belt life and decreasing replacement coasts. Compared to other belts in its class, Hibrex® is up to seven points harder with twice the tooth shear. Its chemical stability resists the effects of oils, coolants, heat and ozone. The Hibrex® rubber compound is reinforced with aramid tensile members for high impact strength.

 

Tooth profile:
The demands of synchronous drives put additional strain on the belt and speed applications. The Blackhawk Pd® tooth profile resists ratcheting and provides accurate positioning for synchronous drive applications. Upgraded Hibrex® materials and tooth profile enable the teeth to engage the sprocket smoothly.

 

Aramid tensile members:
These tensile members provide excellent dimensional stability and high-impact strength. Operating at a consistent tension, Blackhawk Pd® requires little retensioning and less drive maintenance.

 

Plioguard® tooth facing:
Designed for higher loads and abrasion resistance, Plioguard® facing provides a reduced coefficient of friction so that the belt meshes more easily with pulleys. The nylon facong is enhanced with Hibrex®, which can provide 6-7% better abrasion resistance.

Acculinear® Belts & Sprockets

Acculinear®

Acculinear belts can be used in open end or spliced configurations in a variety of applications. Typical applications for open end are in linear motion devices and other drives where precise motion is required. Typical application for the spliced configuration are in light conveyors and other material processing and transfer industries.

 

When it comes to performance, Acculinear belts and sprockets are right on track.

Acculinear combines the advantages of polyurethane with the unique Helical Offset Tooth (H.O.T.) profile for a low maintenance belt that resists wear. Polyurethane belts resist flaking, offer high resistance to oils, fats and greases and are more abrasion-resistant than rubber products.

Self-tracking Sprocket
The key to success lies in the system’s patented H.O.T. geometry. With this self-tracking configuration, the sprockets left and right helix’s guide the thermoplastic polyurethane belt to the center of the Acculinear sprocket. And there it remains: no waste, no wander, just improved efficiency and wear resistance in a compact design. The H.O.T. geometry eliminates belt wander and the need for flanges. As a result, Acculinear sprockets can be used on slider bed applications where flanges would normally protrude above the bed surface.

Low Vibration
Acculinear and the H.O.T design minimize belt vibration on flat pulleys used on the entry and exit of slider beds. The belt moves progressively over straight edges, reducing noise and vibration. The tooth geometry eliminates the cordial effect that occurs around the tooth sprocket and reduces drive vibration.

Quieter Drive
This innovative polyurethane belt and sprocket system uses our proprietary technology to deliver noise levels far below the industry standard. The unique H.O.T. design of the Acculinear system is the reason for the superior noise reduction.

Engineered for Excellence
The tooth and backing material are made of thermoplastic polyurethane, which provides superior wear and abrasion resistance. It is an ideal choice in applications where cleanliness is critical. The precise manufacturing process, coupled with the polyurethane belt material, ensures a reliable and dimensionally stable product. The tension members are high tensile steel and offer dimensional stability for accurate positioning and less maintenance. The tooth facing offers reduced coefficient of friction with the sprocket and also provides wear and abrasion protection.

Open End Configuration
Manufactured in open end rolls with a standard roll length of 300 feet. The belt is manufactured with the tension members lying parallel to the belt edge so that the load is equally distributed across all tension members. A common application of open end belts is in linear motion drives. Clamping plates are available for open end Acculinear belts to mechanically join the belts ends.
